A traditional Norwegian star motif that looks good in traditional colors but looks amazing (and is fun to knit) in bright colors too! The pattern was inspired by traditional Norwegian Selbu mitten patterns. The word “viti” is an old Finnish word meaning “freshly fallen, powdery snow” (yes, the motif is Norwegian inspired, but my mom’s side of my family is Finnish).
Skill level: Intermediate/Advanced (basic knowledge of hat construction and stranded colorwork is helpful)
Size: One size (21”-22” head circumference) - instructions on how to adjust the sizing are included
Yarn weight: DK or worsted
Needles: US 4 - 16” circular, US 6 - 16” circular, US 6 - double pointed needles
